Four months after the possible launch of the iPhone 15 series, news of changes to the iPhone 16 are already starting to emerge. So far, there has been talk of screen size — It would come with 6.9 inches in the Pro model -, in addition to the alleged introduction of tactile buttonsresponds to touch with a slight vibration.

More rumors surfaced on Tuesday (16), this time via Apple senior analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who shared his findings about the future iPhone 16 Pro and “16 Pro Plus” (or Pro Max/Ultra). Emphasized the screens and cameras of new devices.

The market analyst at TF International claims that the Pro model will offer a 6.3-inch display, while the Pro Max will come with a 6.9-inch display. That’s an increase of just over 0.2 inches, or half a centimeter, compared to the dimensions of the current iPhone 14 Pro.

New cameras and new supplier

The first consequence of the increase in screen size is that Apple engineers will be able to incorporate new camera models. Ming-Chi Kuo confirms this and reports that the iPhone 16 Pro will have a periscope lens (placed in an upright position relative to the sensor). Able to offer optical zoom up to 5-6x.

The analyst explains in a tweet that these lenses will already be manufactured by Hong-Kong holding company Cowell, which will be “the main beneficiary of Sharp’s possible departure from the CCM iPhone supply chain.” [Compact Camera Module]”.

Finally, Ming-Chi spoke about Kuo a face recognition solution to be embedded under the device’s screen. The technology will allow the device to capture the image of the user’s face from the screen.
