Although the hashrate limitation of Nvidia’s RTX 3000 series was completely broken earlier this month, converted video cards with laptop chips still continue to be sold. In addition to the previously spotted RTX 3060M, an RTX 3070M variant is now also offered on Taobao.

Since laptop GPUs do not belong to the LHR series and can therefore mine at full speed, these cards have so far received special attention for crypto miners. This seems to be confirmed by a product page on AliExpress that claims these specific models are not supported on Windows 10. It is unknown whether this is the case in all variants.

The RTX 3070M will achieve a hash rate of 65 MH/s.

The large number of cards on offer points to a similar amount of consumers who can’t get their hands on the laptop. However, it is not clear to what extent these creative producers are active in the European market. In any case, Nvidia seems to be taking a few precautions against these traders.
