He was one of the greatest and most famous Egyptian architects, the creator of the famous step pyramid by Djoser, one of the oldest in Egyptian history. But Imhotep’s fascination is also great because he quickly became the god of medicine for the ancient Egyptians.

The aim was to find the tomb of the architect Imhotep, as mentioned by Mostafa Waziri, supreme leader of the Egyptian antiquities. Excavations have also returned to the world 250 sarcophagi dating back to the fifth century BC, containing ancient mummies. But the discoveries, in Saqqara, don’t end there. Not long ago, other sarcophagi dating back to the “new kingdom” period were found. Together with these beautiful artifacts, about fifty of them have seen the light again pharaonic tombs which gave new life to the passion of archaeologists.

A mystery destined to never end, that of ancient Egypt. A combination of legend, history, religion and superstition that can only fascinate anyone who approaches this unique world.
