An interactive site hosted on GitHub contains a globe filled with the names of people whose names are somehow marked into history.

Athletes, scientists, artists, global leaders. When you open the site, you already encounter a few familiar names, and when you zoom in and enter certain areas, more names appear. You can interact and click on the names and another tab will open reporting the number of “notability rank” and the occupation of that local celebrity.

The site also has filters, so you can choose to only see the names of global leaders, pop culture people or scientists. Navigation is simple and you could spend hours searching for the most hidden places.

Interestingly, I couldn’t find my name during a scenic flight through my city. According to the parent of this person writing to you, I am extremely cute, but it seems that the world is not enough to enter the ranking of extraordinary people.
