The Chinese car giant BYD continues to watch the European market with great interest. The manufacturer made its debut on the continent last year when it brought its electric cars to Norway. BYD has also been selling some commercial vehicles in Europe for some time, including some electric buses.

A few days ago, the manufacturer announced that it would also bring its cars to Japan. And now here we are, strengthening efforts in Europe: in addition to Norway, BYD will start selling electric cars in 2022 in Germany and Sweden. They are both two markets where the electric cars they have had a non-negligible market share for quite some time now.

The first deliveries in both countries are expected to start in the last quarter of 2022, between the end of the autumn and the start of the winter season. Thanks to a partnership with the Hedin Mobility Group, the cars will become important in Europe.

BYD is not the only Chinese brand interested in Europe. In recent months, NIO and Xpeng have also started marketing their cars on our continent. However, the cars of the three Chinese manufacturers have not yet been published in Italy. A matter of time?
