Not answering a question by replying with a tweet is an art, especially if it’s Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus who has started his new company Nothing, producing the Nothing Phone (1). The question was about compatibility with Android 13.

According to the answer, it seems that there is no information yet: Carl Peic in fact, he answered the question “Have you made an official post on Android 13? Can you tell us when it will arrive?” with a cryptic phrase: “A product is more than its specifications, features and versions”.

Although the answer may have its own logichowever, we are talking about a device that has made its mark of being different a source of pride, an originality, and for this reason Pei’s cryptic answer to the journalist sounds strange Nicolas Lellouche.

If we add that updating to a new operating system not only optimizes the functions and speed of the device, but also adds interesting and modern features, then in the end it does matter which version of the device firmware smartphone installed above.

Maybe the update will come in a while, but for now there is no official answer. All we have left is the answer from Lellouche, who claimed to agree with Pei’s philosophy and then asked if she would prefer the nothingOS above to Android 12 instead of upgrading to Android 13.
