How to integrate a map from Google Docs

Finding a location with Google Docs is just as easy as it is with Google Maps, thanks to a new update to the service that allows the US company’s maps to be integrated into its text editor.

The fact is that from now on, Google Docs users will only need to enter the @ symbol, and then the place or address they want to visit. We will explain how it works.

Google Maps and Google Docs in one document

To insert a tab into your document, you need to navigate to Insert > Smart Tabs > Place in Google Docs.

This feature is rolling out now and is open to all Google Docs and Workspace users.so you can test this feature on your computer right away.

By clicking on the place file, the user directly accesses Google Maps.by opening the app and allowing you to see the destination information in the Google Maps sidebar.

Users can also find directions to a place, as well as other information such as hours of operation and employment.

The patch followed Google’s 2021 update, which allowed users to embed a Google Maps place tab in a Google Docs document by inserting a Maps link directly into the document.
