Today, NASA unveiled the new spacesuit that Artemis III astronauts will wear. a mission in which people will return to the moon after more than 50 years. As promised, the design is designed to adapt to different body types. It is also more flexible and secure than previous prototypes.

The model was uncovered during an act that the US space agency held at the Houston Center in Texas. Representatives attended Axiom Space, the space infrastructure company responsible for the design of this suit.

The details of the suit were provided by NASA.

Artemis III is scheduled for December 2025. This will be the first crewed lunar landing since Apollo 17 made a successful landing in 1972. It will also be the first time a woman and a black person have set foot on the moon.

“We continue the legacy of NASA by developing an advanced space suit that will enable astronauts to operate safely and efficiently on the Moon,” Michael T. Suffredini, president of Axiom Space, said live.
