LG Display showed off a prototype of its 42-inch OLED gaming monitor during SID Display Week, where the curvature can be adjusted with the push of a button. Depending on the context and user preference, the panel can be bent from fully straight to 1000R curve. The manufacturer introduced a similar panel at CES at the beginning of 2021, but more information has now been shared.

For example, the display combines a resolution of 3,480 x 2,160 pixels with a 120Hz refresh rate and GTG response times of just 0.1ms. The average color error (delta-e) should be less than 2, while the manufacturer claims to cover 99% of the dci-p3 range. The highest brightness is 720 nits with full white 135 cd, while images are played back with 10% white. /m² should be possible.

So far, no monitors or televisions with such an application are available. It is not clear when the first products will hit the market or at what price.

The bendable model from 47 seconds is discussed.
