AMD is expected to share more information about its Ryzen 7000 processors and related AM5 platform at next week’s Computex trade show. In addition to the prominent X670 and B650 chipsets, the manufacturer will also have another variant in the program.

For example, both Videocardz and Wccftech were told that AMD is working on a more expensive X670E chipset; where E stands for Extreme. Although all X670E based motherboards are said to offer pcie 5.0 for both video card (pcie x16 slot) and m.2 storage for nvme ssds, there isn’t much difference between the two. This requirement does not apply to regular X670 models.

According to Hassan Mujtaba (Wccftech), both X670 and X670E will be discussed during Computex.

According to rumors, the high-end X670 chipset will consist of chips that will probably be valid for its big brother as well. It is also claimed that the Zen 4 chips that will be released in the corridors will only support DDR5 memory. If true, it looks like an upgrade to AMD’s next CPU platform isn’t exactly going to be cheap.
