In Spain, the coronavirus pandemic has so far claimed the lives of 121,213 people. As horrific as the numbers are, the WHO believes they could fail in the future if we don’t prepare properly. The organization, like Pedro Cavadas, has once again warned of the real risk of a new pandemic, even more catastrophic.

Kavadas, in particular, already warned at the beginning of 2020. “Due to simple biological evolution, humanity must suffer a pandemic that will wipe out the population in the coming decades,” he commented at the time. “This has been happening in all species for hundreds of millions of years, and humans will be no exception.. It will happen,” he said.

On those dates colleagues called him an alarmist. However, they quickly agreed with him when the first serious waves of COVID-19 hit Spain and the rest of the world hard.

WHO agrees with Pedro Kavada’s predictions: an even worse pandemic is brewing

Three years later, the World Health Organization also agrees with Pedro Cavadas. Last Monday, May 22, 2023, issued a warning describing a possible “emerging pathogen with even more deadly potential.”.

The purpose of this warning is not to alarm, but to warn the public that something like what happened in 2020 may happen sooner than we would like. For WHO, the next pandemic is a reality, so “we must be ready to respond decisively, collectively and fairly”.

While Pedro Cavadas’ warnings are not new, they remind us that the threat still exists. After all, Pandemics are closely linked to human history.. Now that climate change and the rampant expansion of society are the protagonists of the news and debate, they are becoming an increasingly likely reality.

The threat of coronavirus is still with us

For his part, Pedro Cavadas has become a source of polarization despite his successes. The Valencian doctor published a conclusion on vaccines at the end of 2020, where he assured that this process will lead to even greater inequalities between poor and rich countries.which will make it harder to eradicate the pandemic around the world.

Less than two years later, the WHO confirmed Kawada’s suspicions. Most of the vaccinated were residents of the richest countries, namely 57 of them.. Meanwhile, nearly a billion people living in low-income regions have yet to receive even the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Although the WHO recently declared the end of the COVID health emergency, disease is still among us. In fact, at the end of 2020, Apple was seriously threatened by an outbreak in China that temporarily affected its main plant in Zhengzhou.
