Xiaomi has a family of smart TVs with high value for money. The Asian manufacturer has managed to position itself as one of the biggest references when it comes to purchasing Smart TVs. Again One of the latest Xiaomi televisions presented has an interesting problem: the screen breaks apart on its own.

A surprising problem that has nothing to do with the use process: The panel slides until it falls to the ground, even if no one has touched it. What’s happening?

The answer may lie in the model that suffers from this problem. As reported from Gizmochina, Looks like Xiaomi Mi TV EA70Presented in December of last year, he is the one suffering from this strange failure. And its design definitely has a lot to do with it.

There are several defective units.

As we told you, Xiaomi Mi TV EA70 is a smart TV presented in China at the end of 2021. and this offers somewhat limited performance on a technical level, so it’s part of the entry range. Of course, it costs around 458 euros to replace, and being a 70-inch 4K television is a real bargain.

This new cheap Xiaomi Smart TV stands out especially for its design. The firm achieved this by integrating a 2mm thick metal frame in one piece. The 70-inch screen takes up 97.9% of the space compared to the front.

On a visual level, it is sublime, with an impressive product and display being its main protagonist. The problem is that at some point in the assembly something went wrong as there were several print runs suffering from this issue.

It all started a few months ago when some users found themselves with an unpleasant surprise: The screen of the Xiaomi TV was dislodged for no apparent reason.

Moreover, the first incident occurred at a company reception, so we’re talking about a real problem, not a scam attempt. Xiaomi quickly responded, saying that this is an isolated and rare event, so owners of this model should not worry about anything.

But it seems that the firm did a more thorough analysis and found that: Two batches produced between February 14 and March 20 suffer from this defect. That’s why the company has released an app that lets you check if your Xiaomi EA70 TV is malfunctioning.

With an automatic test it will be possible to tell if the TV is having a problem.because the app will notify the user of the result so they can contact the official customer service to make an appointment for onsite maintenance and will include an extended warranty of 2 years.

It is undoubtedly an intriguing issue and it seems that this will be a happy ending for the owners of the Xiaomi television, Currently, it is not marketed in Spain.
