faced with the issue, EL TIEMPO consulted lawyers to find out whether a crime could have been planned based on what they saw in the video and whether the Prosecutor’s Office could investigate the case based on Petro’s intentions.Considering that it is registered in the United States.
Criminal lawyer Francisco Bernate called called the action “inappropriate” because it ensured that “there was no need for the minor child to be exposed”.

Lawyer Camilo Burbano, in line with Bernate, condemned this behavior on the grounds that harassment could be involved to a minor for political reasons.
Faced with the possibility that the prosecutor’s office would investigate the incident, the criminal lawyer said: “Criminal law is based on the principle of territoriality, that is, the general rule is that events are subject to the laws of the place where they occur and therefore to the competent authorities for any investigation, if any. But, Burbano explained that there were incidents that Colombian authorities could investigate that occurred outside the region.
