The update will affect devices running Android 4.0.1 or earlier and iOS 12 or earlierwill no longer receive technical support and the messaging app will stop working on them. Additionally, it has been verified that the minimum requirements to run are met WhatsApp on mobile device will be Android 5.0 or above system.

The company stated that it will send notifications to users via WhatsApp before stopping support for an operating system. We remind them several times to update their operating systems. They will also regularly update a web page with the latest operating systems they support.

The company’s recommendation is for users to update their mobile devices to have at least Android OS 5.0. and you can continue using the application without any difficulties.
