After Arriani’s death, The underage boy’s parents denounced the platform for “directing these two young women to deadly content”.. So far, Lalani’s family has not joined the complaint.

Currently the family is represented by attorney Matthew Bergman of the ‘Social Media Victims Legal Center’ company, which deals with cases of minors who are victims of abuse or social networking addiction.
Bergman noted that “the platform has invested billions of dollars in designing products that deliberately push dangerous content, which they know are dangerous and that could lead to the death of their users.”
For this, Bergman also said that TikTok should be accountable to the Arriani family.
