When opening TikTok you are prompted to enter a profile name and username, but at some point you may decide to change it or focus on another name.

Maybe he used his real name at first and didn’t know it was going to be made public. Or, the name you originally chose may no longer fit the type of content you’re posting.

Either way, changing your profile name or username is easy. (On TikTok, the @ sign precedes the username.)

Go to your profile page (tapping the Profile icon in the lower right corner)
then click Edit Profile and type your desired username.

Please note that the username can only be changed every 30 days.

Also, the username can only contain letters, numbers, underscores, and periods. However, you cannot put a period at the end of the username.

If you are a verified user
changing your username will cause you to lose your verification status.

If you wish to do so, you can contact Support via the Report a problem option to make the change.
