Apple will launch a standalone app specializing in classical music, expected to be available in Colombia on March 28. The idea is that while it works separately from the regular Apple Music app, the so-called Apple Music Classical will be included in their subscription at no additional cost to those who already have that service.

Besides allowing you to listen to classical music, the application will have some additional functions such as: deeper search and specific information about composers, writers and musicians in the works.

It will initially be exclusive to iOS users, but the company is already considering porting it to the Android world.

Among the exclusive features in the application Spatial audio in Apple Music will also be includedbut limited to some artists.

Likewise, it will have high-quality audio or “Hi-res Lossless” and audio quality up to 192 kHz and 24-bit, making it tough to compete against other music apps.

In the music streaming competition, Apple and Tidal have tried to set themselves apart from their competitors, and these unique bets, like Apple Music Classical, serve to mark segments and retain users.
