Dr. Lewis Dodgson
This is one of the most curious cameos, or rather, appearances in the plot. Jurassic World: Dominion. In a literary saga composed of five books (two main and three spin off), the character has a corresponding role. But in the cinema we managed to see him only once, and that was in Jurassic Park Steven Spielberg from 93. In one of the first scenes of the film, the character is next to the future saboteur Dennis Nedry. The latter agrees to the fraudulent sale of embryos created in the park. Driving point of events that will happen later.
Surprisingly, the character did not return to be part of the next films in the saga. And this despite the fact that in the books it has become more important and relevant. However, the fleeting appearance even became the subject of memes and jokes associated with the film for decades. Now the character is back, played by actor Campbell Scott. And he does it in a big way: He is not only the main villain of the dispute. It’s also in the midst of a web of nods reminiscent of the franchise’s early days.
This is Dodgson, again, trying to use genetics as a weapon and to his advantage. After all, he also keeps the already memorized container in the form of a commercial aerosol can, in which Nedry is supposed to deliver the embryos. As if that wasn’t enough, he dies at the hands of a Dilophosaurus just like the park’s first pest. The character of Omar Sy has a short but interesting appearance that performs a specific function: remember the passage of time in the film. In the midst of a frantic search for Maisie (Isabella Sermon) Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard), the Cy character reappears. Nearly five years have passed and now he is an intelligence agent in charge of preventing the dinosaur trade.

This is one of the most symbolic moments Jurassic Park 93. When Nedry tries to escape the park during a violent storm, he runs into one of the park’s most dangerous inhabitants. At first glance, Dilophosaurus is small and fragile, but in fact it is deadly. in fiction, capable of spewing venom through expanding membranes on the neck. And that’s exactly what some creatures do when they attack Nedry. The character is devoured and the container of stolen embryos is lost in the mud surrounding the car he was driving.
AT Jurassic World: Dominion, Dilophosaurus appears twice. One to attack Claire and then stop Lewis Dodgson from escaping. This last scene is as symbolic as it is powerful. The film takes time and effort to remember that everything that happened in the saga is due to the chaos of the original park. Something becomes clear when a herd of Dilophosaurus attacks Dodgson and kills him in the same way as Nedry. cycle in Jurassic Park it ends, and the most relevant storyline – the outrage against nature and its possibilities – reaches its climax.
