the disappearance of Kentaro Miura will not stop publishing Berserk, which will continue the story even after the creator’s death. The editors behind the manga have announced that Miura’s longtime friend, Kouji Mori, will be looking after the project’s progress.

The editors of Young Animal magazine have announced that as of issue 13, due out June 24 in Japan, the serialization of Berserk will continue, with Studio Gaga poised to handle the graphics portion of the manga, while Kouji Mori will oversee to keep.

The news was announced in Italy by Planet Manga, which deals with Berserk publications in our country. This is the announcement made on Facebook:

Berserk resumes serialization from issue 13 of Young Animal, which will be available in Japan on June 24. A message from the editors of Young Animal and sensei Kouji Mori will be published in conjunction with the resumption of publication. We hope, even from now on, that you will continue to give us your passionate support and follow the Berserk saga.

Recall that Berserk is a manga created in 1989. Central to the story are the events of Gatsu, a cursed warrior who roams in search of revenge. The story combines elements of horror and fantasy. Within Berserk, several philosophical and existential themes also coexist.
