Chris Hemsworthin an interview for Vanity Fair, he went back to his career and talked about the experience he had in the role of Thorand admit that he was disappointed by Thor: The Dark Worldespecially from what came out of his performance.

Here are the actor’s statements:

I wasn’t happy with what I had done in Thor 2. I was a little disappointed in myself. I guess I couldn’t develop the character because I didn’t show the audience something else. And when Ragnarok came out, after all the frustration that arose about what I had done, I really wanted to break the mold. I spoke to Taika Waititi about this and said I was bored with Thor. And he agreed, he too was bored with Thor. So we decided not to get bored and go in a different direction.

And he went on to say:

So we took the character apart, made him a little more unpredictable, and put some humor in it. And I had a great relationship with Taika, we had the same sense of humor and we joked a lot.

And all that led to Thor: Love and Thunder, which hits theaters in July.
