At AMC, they’re clear: they want to do another Breaking Bad spin-off after the success of Better Call Saul.

When a series or movie is successful in every way, especially economically, companies are quick to look for ways to extend that success for as long as possible. In the vast majority of cases, they choose spin-offs, that is, projects based on the main story. When breaking Badone of the most loved series of all time, we’ve already seen a couple of spin-offs: El Camino: Breaking Bad Movie D Better call Saul. However, they may not be the only ones.

Dan McDermott, president of AMC Studios, hinted that production company more than willing to take on new projects in the universe breaking Bad. Of course, he used his interview with Diversity to point out that, at least for the time being, there is no spin-off in the works.

“I can tell you that if I could do something to cheer Vince up [Gilligan] and Peter [Gould] to continue in this universe, I would. I think you should ask them, but the door is always open And I’m looking forward to the day my phone rings and Vince or Peter or our friends at Sony call and say, “Hey, I think we’ve got another show based on this universe,” McDermott said.

Now there is no doubt that AMC will patiently wait for Vince Gilligan and his people to decide to return to the universe. breaking Bad after finishing Better call Saul. We shouldn’t forget that the series, starring controversial lawyer Saul Goodman, has just finished the first part of its final season. The rest of the episodes, however, will arrive from next July, 12.

Vince Gilligan opens the door too

For his part, Peter Gould, whose contribution to the universe breaking Bad also played an important role as a screenwriter, stating, “I love these characters, I love this world. Maybe once [regrese]but personally, I’m going to take a little break from this world and try something else, just to show what I can.”

As you can see, all parties involved have left the door open for another production. However, it seems that we have to wait a few years. While this is going on, Vince Gilligan has prepared for us a new production that he says will be very different from his previous work – and alien breaking BadOf course-.
