This led to two spin-offs and a third trilogy that continued the Skywalker saga. We all know the end result: three disappointing movies, inconsequential and at times giving the impression that they are not related to each other. Although Disney does not acknowledge it, the wave of criticism of these productions has forced them to rethink their strategy, thereby creating a new frenzy this goes against their own previous decisions.
