In the 1990s, the comedy came out with Mira Sorvino And Lisa Kudrow entitled Romy & Michelle, and more than twenty years later, it looks like that feature is getting a sequel. The announcement was made by Mira Sorvino herself.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the actress said:

There’s nothing official, but in an unofficial way I can say we’re closer than ever to making the sequel.

To corroborate these words, there was also the other interpreter, Lisa Kudrow, who said just a few hours later:

I think it comes to the realization of something. Isn’t that exciting?

The original title of the feature film is Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion. The story is about two friends living in Los Angeles who try to look like two dizzying figures. But a high school meeting will lead them to face reality and realize that they haven’t accomplished much in life. From here a path will be born that will lead both characters to think about their relationship and about themselves. The film can be seen on Disney+.

This feature film was made into a TV prequel in 2005, titled Romy & Michelle – Almost Rich and Famous, starring Katherine Heigl and Alexandra Breckenridge.
