Autodesk, a developer of software products for engineers and architects, has banned Russian companies from using its software. RBC writes about this with reference to a letter from Autodesk that its partners in Russia received.

Autodesk referred to the restrictions introduced by the European Union as part of the twelfth sanctions package. In particular, this is a ban on the provision of software for industrial production and design.

The American company Autodesk is a developer of computer-aided design systems for construction and design. Its key product, AutoCAD, is a computer-aided design and drafting system that is especially popular among engineers.

Previously, Microsoft sent letters to Russian customers about suspending access to its cloud products. The decision is also due to the EU sanctions imposed on Russia.
