Star wars just officially announced the renewal of one of his most beloved series, Star Wars Visions. The project was born in 2021 when Lucasfilm partnered with several Japanese anime studios to develop short anthologies that told their own stories. The idea was received amazingly by fans of the galactic saga, and the company decided to expand.

In May 2023, coinciding with Star Wars Day, Lucasfilm premiered the series’ second season. Star Wars Visions. For this occasion they collaborated with animation studios from all over the world, such as El Guiri in Spain, Punkrobot in Chile or the prestigious Cartoon Saloon in Ireland and Aardman in the UK. It has just been confirmed that the series will have a third season.

In a press release published on the website Star warsthe company announced that Visions of Star Wars The third season will be on Disney+. Star Wars: Visions Volume 3 will return with nine short films produced by nine different anime studios. Four of them have already worked on the first season.
