The Multiverse Saga has been a challenging time for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Despite its capabilities, the truth is that the franchise didn’t have what it took to fully explore the alternate realities classic in the publishing world. Nevertheless, What if…? (What happens if…?) This was one of the productions that managed to demonstrate just how much this franchise concept had to offer. Moreover, thanks to the ability for visual and script experiments, anime showed the dimension of limitless possibilities. Everything is full of interest.
A free-to-play adaptation of the Marvel comics of the same name, since its premiere in 2021, the series has shown how the multiverse can operate on an unknown scale and depth. To show versions of the franchise’s most beloved characters, such as Captain Carter, or what would have happened if the decision had changed the timeline. From this latter perspective, the production revealed a new Star-Lord, a redeemed Thanos and even Doctor Strange have become cosmic menaces.
