Developed by Apple Studios (formerly entrusted to Paramount) and directed and produced by Academy Award winner Martin Scorsese, the feature is based on David Grann’s bestseller and follows the story of the murder of numerous members of the Osage Nation, a area full of oil settlements, a mysterious series of brutal crimes that became known as “Osage’s Reign of Terror”.
The cast of the film includes Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jesse Plemons, John Lithgow, Brendan Fraser, Lily Gladstone, Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson, Louis Cancelmi, William Belleu, Tatanka Means, Michael Abbott Jr., Pat Healy and Scott Shepherd.
