We are not living in a good time for streaming services where Netflix is losing subscribers and HBO Max has to completely change its strategy to avoid it in the future, and the way you watch movies and series at home will likely change. The next few months and you may not like it very much.
It’s been a tumultuous week for HBO Max, announcing its merger with Discovery plus, leaving millions of existing subscribers with a certainty that they don’t know if their rates will be adhered to or will have to subscribe starting next year. again, perhaps with less benefit.
Regardless, so far HBO Max subscribers have been able to enjoy blockbuster movies from the theater at home after just a few weeks. being able to enjoy premieres like Batman, after nearly 45 days, when almost nothing is done in the cinema.
That may change at this time, as as reported by Decider, Upcoming movie releases will no longer be guaranteed to hit HBO Max after 45 dayshowever, each film will be judged on a case-by-case basis.
While we don’t know which movies this premiere will affect later on the service, they will most likely be blockbusters. In this way, Warner Bros. wants to make the theatrical premiere of these films a little more profitable and release them later on HBO Max, certainly well after the originally promised 45 days.
So one of those advantages that HBO Max has had so far, which is practically being able to watch movies at home, is probably no longer true, at least in some blockbuster movies.
