Notifications about this have appeared in the Galaxy Store app. Even if a user doesn’t usually use the Galaxy Store, they will likely now need to create a Samsung account, otherwise some apps may not be updated in the future.
As noted on the PhoneArena portal, automatic updating of apps via the Galaxy Store is an important function to keep them updated. Some Samsung apps, including system apps like Notes and AR Canvas, are updated through this store.
While the Galaxy Store works as before, you will need to sign in with your Samsung ID to finish installing apps.
