It will be available on Netflix from August 5. the sandman, the TV series of the moment, based on Neil Gaiman’s celebrated comic of the same name. The main character Tom Sturridge (Morfeo) along with two of the main actresses of the series, Gwendoline Christie and Jenna Coleman (interpreters of Lucifer and Joanna Constantine) tell their characters and the world in which they move in a new official featurette.
Another world awaits us when we close our eyes to sleep… a place called the “dream kingdom”, where the dream lord Sandman (Tom Sturridge) shapes our deepest fears and fantasies. But when Dream is suddenly captured and held captive for a century, his absence sets off a chain of events that will disrupt the world of sleep and wake forever. To restore order, he will have to traverse universes and timelines to correct the mistakes he has made in his long existence, find old friends and enemies, and also meet new cosmic and human entities.
Based on the much-loved and award-winning DC Comics comic book series written by Neil Gaiman, The Sandman is a rich interweaving of myth and dark fantasy filled with powerful characters that follow the adventures of Dream over the course of ten epic chapters. Development and executive production are in the hands of Gaiman, flanked by showrunner Allan Heinberg and David S. Goyer.
