Another novel by Stephen King preparing to become a feature film adaptation: the sellersi will be adapted for the screen by Bohemia Group. George Cowan will write the script while the project is currently in development.
Susan Ferris of Bohemia Group said:
We couldn’t be happier to be working with the prolific Stephen King and his team. The novel’s central theme and characters are packed with potential and we look forward to making a great movie.
Stephen King himself added:
I’m excited that The Avengers can be adapted for the screen. It will be something wonderful.
The original story was published in 1996 and tells of a small town where one day a group of people jump out of a van and unleash a murderous frenzy. Creating further terror is a ferocious creature that controls the body of a little boy whose parents have been murdered. It’s not known how far the film will dig into the novel, but there’s no doubt that Stephen King’s production will always provide plenty of opportunities for on-screen adaptation.
