Teaser trailer and photos released today Romulus 2 – The War for Romesecond chapter of the Sky Original series, signed by Matteo Rovere and produced by Sky, Cattleya and Groenlandia in association with ITV Studios, exclusively on Sky and streaming only on NOW in October.

Before the myth, beyond the legend, the birth of Rome as it has never been told in a second season that is the most enduring of Italy’s Sky Original productions, in line with the commitment of the Sky group aspiring to the Sky Zero campaign to be the first media company in Europe to become Net Zero Carbon by 2030.

The protagonists of the first season Andrea Arcangeli (Yemos), Marianna Fontana (Ilia) and Francesco Di Napoli (Wiros) are added in the eight new episodes: Valentina Bellè (I wanted to be a rockstar, The man of the labyrinth, Catch – 22) in the shoes of Ersilia, head of the Sabine priestesses; Emanuele Maria Di Stefano (The Catholic School, Drought) playing the king of the Sabines Titos Tatios, son of the god Sancos, the most powerful enemy of Rome; Max Malatesta (Favolacce, Il primo Re) is Sabos, advisor and right arm of the king of the Sabines; Ludovica Nasti (The Brilliant Girlfriend) plays the role of Vibia, the youngest of the Sabine priestesses; while Giancarlo Commare (Skam Italia, masculine singular, La Belva) is Atys, the young king of Satricum. Sergio Romano (Amulius), Demetra Avincola (Deftri) and Vanessa Scalera (Silvia) also return.

Like the first, sold by ITV Studios – the international distributor – in over 40 territories, the series’ second season was shot entirely in protolatin. The directing team consists of Matteo Rovere, Michele Alhaique and Enrico Maria Artale, former directors of the first season, and Francesca Mazzoleni (Punta Sacra, Succede). Filippo Gravino and Guido Iuculano return to the screenplay, together with Flaminia Gressi and Federico Gnesini in the writer’s room.

In the second season we will find Yemos and Wiros who, united as brothers, founded and dedicate their city to Rumia. Rome and its two kings soon become a symbol of freedom and welcome, but they attract the attention of a powerful enemy: Titos Tatios, king of the Sabines.
