Disney+ has released the official live action photo gallery Pinocchiowhich will debut on the streaming platform on the occasion of Disney + Day on September 8. In the new images, we can take a closer look at Tom Hanks’ appearance in the role of Geppetto, as well as that of Jiminy Cricket and the Blue Fairy.
The film stars Tom Hanks, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Keegan-Michael Key, Lorraine Bracco, with Cynthia Erivo and Luke Evans.
Directed by Academy Award winner Robert Zemeckis, Pinocchio revives in live action the beloved story of a wooden doll who goes on an exciting adventure to become a real child. Tom Hanks plays Geppetto, the woodcarver who builds and cares for Pinocchio (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) as if he were his own son. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is the Jiminy Cricket, both Pinocchio’s guide and his “conscience”; Academy Award nominee Cynthia Erivo is the Blue Fairy; Keegan-Michael Key is the Fox; Oscar nominee Lorraine Bracco is Sofia the Seagull, a new character; and Luke Evans is the Postillion. The cast also includes Kyanne Lamaya in the role of Fabiana (and her puppet Sabina), Giuseppe Battiston in Mangiafuoco and Lewin Lloyd in Candlewick.
