“What is man?” is the question behind a new anime created by a prestigious crew including screenwriter Hirotaka Adachi (known as Otsuichi), character designer Yoshitaka Amano, composer Ryuichi Sakamoto, and director Yuzo Sato: Exception. The series features an original sci-fi horror story set in space, whose trailer and photos we show today, in anticipation of the series’ debut on Netflix on October 13.
In the distant future, humanity is forced to leave Earth and migrate to another star system. A reconnaissance team searches for a planet to terraform it and the crew members are created with a biological 3D printer, but a system error occurs and one of them (Lewis) appears distorted. When Lewis attacks his companions Nina, Mack, Patty and Oscar, he begins the countdown to the end of the mission in the terrifying darkness of the starship.
