NASA will test a remote control robot on the International Space Station that will take it to the Moon and Mars

NASA has already thought about it, and that is why it announced that will test the MIRA surgical robot on the International Space Station (ISS), has been developed for over 20 years by Virtual Incision. You can see it in action in the introductory video of the news.

Perhaps ground control will be possible from the ISS, because it is 400 kilometers away and with good communications. delay may be acceptable. But if the MIRA surgeon robot is on the Moon or Mars, the delay from the surgeon’s order to the robot’s execution may not be feasible in high-precision work, such as surgery.

There are many unanswered questions, but NASA has almost two years to polish this question. It could be a solution for working or sewing on astronauts in space.
