Co-written and directed by Michael Winterbottom, This England, the Sky Original TV series in 6 episodes starring Oscar winner Kenneth Branagh in the role of Boris Johnson, will be exclusively on Sky and will be streamed only on NOW, no longer from September 23 but from September 30, with two episodes a week, every Friday on Sky Atlantic Ocean. In the meantime, here are the official photos from the miniseries.

This England (formerly known as This Sceptred Isle) will narrate the impact the first wave of the Coronavirus pandemic had on the UK. The miniseries takes viewers through the corridors of power, with Johnson grappling with Covid-19, Brexit and a controversial political and personal life in the tumultuous first months as British Prime Minister.

Political events will intertwine with stories from across the country, from experts and scientists fighting to understand how the virus is transmitted, to doctors, nurses and nursing home workers on the front lines managing and overcoming the emergency, to ordinary people whose lives has been thrown into chaos by the pandemic. This England was produced by Michael Winterbottom’s Revolution Films and Richard Brown’s Passenger.
