Jared Leto is ready for another remarkable performance as the popular actor will take on the role of the fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld. The feature film is being produced by Leto himself, with Emma Ludbrook, through the production company Paradox and at the home of Karl Lagerfeld.
Jared Leto said of the project:
Karl has always inspired me. He is a leader, an innovator, an artist and above all a nice person. When we started working with his creative team, we immediately shared the vision of the project and the boundaries within which we had to push ourselves. I am grateful to Karo, Pier and Seb for this shared journey.
Karl Lagerfeld’s film is co-produced by Pier Paolo Righi, Caroline Lebar and Sébastien Jondeau. Caroline Lebar was herself a longtime associate of the German designer, as was Pier Paolo Righi, who was CEO for ten years. Sebastien Jondeau has been his personal assistant for almost twenty years.
Righi said of the biopic in development:
We’ve been talking to Hollywood producers about this project for years. It wasn’t until after we met Emma and Jared that we realized we were attuned to the kind of story we wanted to tell.
