The documentary about the Maestro Ennio Drawn by Oscar-winning director Giuseppe Tornatore, Morricone will not return to cinema until November 10 to celebrate the birth of the most popular and prolific musician of the twentieth century, the most beloved by international audiences, two-time Oscar winner and author of over 500 unforgettable soundtracks.

Ennio, which hit the cinemas last February, conquered the general public by bringing it back to the cinemas: more than 400,000 spectators flocked to the cinema to enjoy the all-round portrait of Ennio Morricone. The film was successfully presented Out of Competition at the Venice Film Festival and at the Bif&st, and has received several awards, including: Silver Ribbon of the Year; it was designated a Film della Critique by the SNCCI; it won the Golden Globe for Best Documentary and three David di Donatello for Sound, Editing and Best Documentary.

The documentary tells Morricone through a lengthy interview by Tornatore with the Maestro, testimonials from artists and directors – such as Bertolucci, Montaldo, Bellocchio, Argento, i Taviani, Verdone, Barry Levinson, Roland Joffè, Oliver Stone, Quentin Tarantino, Clint Eastwood , Bruce Springsteen – fictional dinners, music and archive footage.
