During an interview with the Wall Street Journal, the CEO of Disney Bob Chapek opened up to the opportunity to see more mature content on the streaming platform Disney +. Given that series like Pam and Tommy have already arrived with the distribution of Hulu productions on Disney+, Bob Chapek doesn’t rule out the proliferation of this content in the future.

Here are his words:

I want to respect the brand identity, but at the same time we can have even more value. If the consumer base wants to be more flexible, we’ll listen to that and that means we’ll have more freedom than we’ve thought until now.

Recall that among the Marvel-Disney productions in development there are projects such as Deadpool 3, which is sure to propose an R-Rated movie that will arrive on the streaming platform, raising the level of mature content.

Also, with the release of Marvel series from Netflix on Disney+ TV shows like Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Punisher, the platform is not exactly suitable for all audiences.

But, in the words of Bob Chapek, the challenge for Disney seems to be even greater from this point of view. We’ll see how far they go in the future.
