The Walt Disney Studios presentation at CinemaCon 2022, which took place at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, it was a real success.

Joining theater distribution chief Tony Chambers are Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and Avatar producer Jon Landau.published a list of film releases in 2022, offering congress attendees an exclusive look at films from Marvel Studios, Pixar Animation Studios and 20th Century Studios.

However, attention was drawn to the phrase of Kevin Feige, which pleased many by mentioning that he and his team they’re about to embark on a mission to create Marvel content over the next 10 years.

Now that there’s been so much comic book history in the last 83 years, What could be the future for the MCU? Here we leave you with 4 possibilities that we might see (this does not have to be true).

Less interconnectedness

Marvel Studios has always had plans for an interconnected universe.. The foundation for this has been in the MCU since the very beginning, and the post-credits scene of 2008’s Iron Man set the stage for all sorts of heroes and villains to cross paths.

However, the problem with this path, where everything is interconnected, is that pThis can prevent newcomers from fully immersing themselves in this franchise.

With this on the tablethere may be a situation of watching superhero movies and series that are independent of each other. That doesn’t mean they cut the coherence completely, there will always be common enemies and the need to bring them together in an odd movie.

Marvel, better in movies or TV shows?

A departure from the traditional trilogy format

The film trilogy format has always existed in Hollywood cinema. This is a very good way to expand the film without getting into the sagas. However, it looks like Marvel wants to change this format.

We’ve had four Avengers movies, four Thor movies (the fourth one comes out in July), and the Captain America franchise is also about to see its fourth movie in theaters.

At the same time, it seems that Marvel is included in the quadrilogies, but this is not so: There seem to be only two Black Panthers, and, for example, the Eternals, given her low positive response, will remain in one, or at best, a sequel will see the light of day.

Imagine the X-Men

So far, there have been many references to them in the MCU, especially in Falcon and the Winter Solider and Moon Knight. In addition to the Fantastic Four, this is perhaps the group of superheroes most requested by Marvel fans as the next big addition to the MCU.

So it’s likely, since we’re talking about 10 years, that Marvel will introduce the X-Men at some point.

Trailer for Moon Knight, the new Disney Plus Marvel series

Use the Disney Plus series to your advantage

While the movie might make sense for iconic and beloved Marvel characters like the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Blade, perhaps it’s getting harder to introduce new superheroes in their own standalone MCU movie.

Shang-Chi proved it was possible, but as we said, Eternals was considered a disaster by many fans and critics.

Unless a new character is introduced as part of an established character film franchise, the increasingly complex nature of the MCU may make it impossible to introduce superheroes into their own movie.

This is where Disney Plus comes in. Disney’s streaming platform has already helped Marvel introduce several new characters in major or minor roles. like Moon Knight, Kate Bishop from Hawkeye and Sylvia/Enchantress from Loki.

With shows like Ms. Marvel, Secret Invasion, and She-Hulk introducing new superheroes to the MCU. Prior to its eventual appearance in the MCU films, Marvel is already using Disney Plus properly.

However, Marvel movies can also benefit from their Disney Plus siblings. A current example is the lead role of Ms. Marvel in Wonderland. And the thing is, Marvel may be planning films for the next 10 years, but it will also take into account its Disney Plus slate of series.
