Based on the novel of the same name by Paolo Cognetti, the film by Felix van Groeningen and Charlotte Vandermeersch “The eight mountains” won the jury prize at the Cannes Film Festival and will be in theaters from December 22, with Vision Distribution: here is the new official trailer. In the cast of the film, coming soon to cinemas, we find Luca Marinelli, Alessandro Borghi, Filippo Timi, Elena Lietti and Elisabetta Mazzullo.

This is the official summary:
“The Eight Mountains” tells the story of a friendship. A friendship born between two children who, after becoming men, try to distance themselves from the path their fathers took, but always end up returning home due to the vicissitudes and choices they face. Pietro is a city boy, Bruno is the last child of a remote mountain village. Over the years, Bruno remains true to his mountains, while Pietro is the one who comes and goes. Their meeting will lead them to experience love and loss, lead each to their origins and unfold their destinies as they discover what it means to be friends forever.
