Disney + announced the release date of Hocus pocus 2, the sequel to the 90s cult film, which will hit the streaming platform on September 30. It’s a date that relates the release to the Halloween period, but is about a month ahead of it.

In the new film, three young women accidentally bring the Sanderson sisters back to life and present themselves in modern-day Salem. It will therefore be necessary to understand how to stop the hunger of the witch sisters for children and prevent the creation of chaos and confusion.

The film’s cast will also include Tony Hale, Sam Richardson, Hannah Waddingham, Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, Belissa Escobedo, Doug Jones, Juju Brenner, Froy Gutierrez, Taylor Henderson, and Nina Kitchen.

Hocus Pocus 2 is directed by Anne Fletcher, screenplayed by Jen D’Angelo and production entrusted to Walt Disney Pictures. Filming is currently underway in Rhode Island.

This is the summary of the first movie:

Three eccentric witches from the 18th century want to regain their youth by bewitching the city. But first they have to get back on their feet and hit three kids and a talking cat.
