The rumors about the support of the online multiplayer for PS1 and PSP games have been denied today by the latest update of the PS Store page of the emulated version for PlayStation 1 of Worms World Party

For the uninitiated, the possibility arose yesterday that some PS1 and PSP titles that come with the Premium version of the PS Plus may have online multiplayer. A fact that emerged from the PS Store description regarding the game Worms World Partywhich read: “Access the fantastic “Wormpot” which offers you over 1000 different play styles. All modes are available offline, online or a combination of both!Basically, according to the description, the game should have supported online multiplayer as well.

Well, apparently it was not seen and considered that after the rumor spread, the Worms World Party page was promptly changed. At this point, the page is in fact no longer showing no reference to online multiplayer in the official description and therefore it is clear that the multiplayer modes will only be usable locally.

Apparently, ResetEra reports, it looks like it was an error and the game’s description was misreported because it was copied word for word from the Steam page of Worms World Party Remastereda game that supports multiplayer.

But to stay on topic, today we also discovered that some PS1 and PSP titles will only have trophies if the developers decide to implement them.

  • Worms World Party [PS1 Emulation] (store.playstation.com)
  • World Worms Party Remastered (store.steampowered.com)
  • PS1 games on Asian PSN for $5-9, including CRT filter, rewind, trophies optional, scaling, screenshots (resetera.com)
