Lenovo formalized Legion Go, the Windows 11 portable console it intends to compete with in an increasingly crowded device segment. Unfortunately for the Chinese brand, the surprise factor of this presentation has been completely ruined by the numerous leaks that have taken place in recent weeks.

The design with removable Switch type controls, specs, price and presentation date have been revealed in various reports we’ve seen over the past month. However, Lenovo did its part and unveiled the Legion Go at IFA 2023, where it was formally unveiled to the public to confirm previous leaks were correct.

In addition to the complete lack of surprises, Lenovo has confirmed a very interesting initiative in the face of the Legion Go. The fact is that although Steam Deck continues to be the first mention of this type of product, it is clear that the company relies on direct competition from ASUS ROG Ally. The price and its characteristics – both hardware and software – are proof of this.

But what’s really interesting is that Lenovo has opted for a broader strategy than ASUS, with accessories that enhance the gaming experience. It is, of course, about Legion Pointshis augmented reality glasses and headphones Legion E510 with 7.1 surround soundwhich also leaked in the past days.

Lenovo claims development of the Legion Go began over two years ago, but now it will need to prove that the console is up to the task.

The latter is very interesting since Lenovo Legion Go enable FPS mode. As the name suggests, this is a modality specially designed for those who want to enjoy first person shooters.
