The political novel in Santa Marta reached its climax this Saturday. Carlos Pinedo Cuello of the Santa Marta movement Yes You Can has been formalized by the review committee. The new mayor of the capital of Magdalena.
Pinedo received the credential accrediting him as the first president of the Samarians after an extensive legal dispute that ended in his favor.
The final report of form E 26, which detailed that the winner of the elections was the leader of the Important Citizens’ Movement of Santa Marta Si Podemos, Carlos Pinedo Cuello, with 85,372 votes, was prepared and signed by the examination commission.
Jorge Agudelo’s vote from Fuerza Ciudadana was finally annulled and appeared in the report with zero votes.
After the Supreme Court’s second-degree decision overturning Agudelo’s registration, the pressure exerted by Fuerza Ciudadana leaders, who even filed a criminal case against the review commission that annulled their vote, did not yield any results.
The new mayor of Santa Marta celebrated the final result of this whole process on the social network X.
Thank you Santa Marta! With the delivery of the mandate from the Electoral Corps formalizing me as the elected Mayor of this City, I say to Samarians that the work to transform this region we love so much has only just begun,” Pinedo said.
He also asked Mayor Virna Johnson and the Police, Military and Prosecutor’s Office to redouble their efforts to guarantee the peace of Samarians.
“I invite citizens to surround the institutions and reflect on unity and love for this land,” said Santa Marta’s new mayor.
