Striking Distance Studios has been revealed new details about enemies which we will cover in The Callisto protocol. Apparently, the biophages that will haunt Black Iron’s prison in the game will be part of the behavior of the Xenomorphs from Alien Isolation. The team even claimed to be inspired by the famous survival horror Creative Assembly to create unpredictable enemies and adapt to the player’s defense tactics.

Enemies will not always attack you – Technical Officer Mark James explained – Sometimes you will see them sneaking behind a grid and jumping on you somewhere else in the level: they will always look for the best point to attack you. One of the things we focused on most from the beginning of development was creating intelligent and adaptable adversaries.

Some of the more cunning biophages will therefore resume some of the behavior of the Xenomorphs or Alien who, if you recall correctly, used them the grids to surprise the player and attack him. But that’s not all: the enemies in The Callisto Protocol will also be able to To adjust to the player’s tactics: in some cases, for example, the enemies will try to hide their weaknesses during the fight or take a defensive position, trying to intercept the next battle.

The Callisto is available on Dec 2, 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X.
