On Thursday (September 8th), activity in Medellín was marked by collapsed roads, taxi driver stops and several traffic accidents.

A serious traffic accident was reported in the evening hours in the La Iguaná neighborhood near Los Colores CAI in the west of the city. An incident involving several vehicles and causing several deaths.

In social networks, passers-by and drivers passing through this sector, according to preliminary versions, caught the serious accident. A dump truck, apparently without brakes, collided with other vehicles on the road and overturned on the road.

The Disaster Risk Management Administrative Department (DAGRD) reported that the incident occurred on Carrera 71 and Calle 53 and that “a dump-type vehicle suffered mechanical failures and collided with several cars on the road.”
