On the occasion of yesterday’s Assassin’s Creed Showcase, Ubisoft announced with a teaser trailer the arrival of Assassin’s Creed: Codename Red, a new chapter in the saga set in Japan. This is one of the announcements that has sparked the greatest enthusiasm from fans since it has been years that fans have been clamoring for a chapter of the saga set in Japan.
The details released about the game are not much: the teaser reveals that the game will take place Feudal Japanalso with the figure of a Ninja assassin equipped with a hidden blade. Otherwise, we know that Red will be developed by Ubisoft Quebec, the same as Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, with Jonathan Dumont as creative director and that the game will be the RPG Structure from Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla.
The game will debut after the release of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, also presented yesterday during the event dedicated to the future of the series, so we don’t know exactly what the release period will be. We can easily assume that the title will not see the light sooner 2024as next year will be all about the launch of Mirage, and that it will be released exclusively on next-generation consoles.
