The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the official name of the sequel to Breath of the Wild. The big N revealed it with a trailer in the final stage of today’s Nintendo Direct. The short video, which you’ll find below, finally reveals the game’s release date as well. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available from May 12, 2023.
The details about the new game coming to Nintendo Switch are actually still very scarce. We know Link’s next adventure will also take place in skies over the vast lands of Hyrule. In the short video, which shows some flashes of gameplay for the first time, we see Link throw himself into the sky from a sanctuary on a mysterious floating island, use his glider to fly across the sky, and even use some sort of magical elevator to to go back to the top.
