As previously revealed, Project Polaris it would still be in the early stages of development and many of the reasons related to the timing extension would be mainly related to the introduction of the new graphics engine Unreal engine 5.

We are preparing the technology for Polaris. This is the first project to be built with the new engine, the Unreal Engine 5, so additional work is required to build the necessary technology. For this project, we will definitely need extra efforts to complete the development,” said Kiciński.

According to what has been stated, Polaris will therefore need at least three more years of development, but the next two games of the trilogy will take less time and the team has already confirmed that it wants to complete the saga in no time. six years since the launch of Polaris.
